my mom has had rheumatoid arthritis for about 9 years now, and she had a knee replacement about 6 years ago… lately her arthritis has been causing her a lot of pain that she loses sleep over… medications that her doc gives her do not help. Are there any natural remedies or vitamins she can take to help ease the pain?

I have a friend that has RA. She needs her medications, but the doctor she use to go to will not give her a prescription for it. She really needs HELP! Is there an organization for people that have rheumatoid arthritis?
She is on Medicare and Medicaid and totally disabled, with a fixed income.

Last year I began jogging everyday and after about two months of it my rheumatoid arthritis kicked in and my knee swelled up to the point of not being able to bend it. Currently I do lower impact cardio activities but I really enjoyed running and I want to start again. Does anyone know of a good knee brace that will potentially help with the high impact of running so that it does not cause too much stress on my knee?

Home remedy for trying to relieve extreme pain from rheumatoid arthritis, please !

My sister is expecting her first baby (yay!!!) but suffers from very severe rheumatoid arthritis which is now terrible as she can’t take any medication while pregnant. She needs a car that is easy to get into and out of (so higher off the ground than usual) and will be easy in the long run for her to put bub in and out of. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated :)

I have rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes runs in my family. Is there a link between diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis? My RA breaks down the immune system.

We’re in the deep freeze here on the east coast, and my joints are so stiff and swollen. I can’t even think about getting started until I soak in a really hot tub just to get moving. Most stuff I read about this says there are no real facts to support the weather/arthritis connection, so I thought I’d take it to you guys.
Oh, and I have Rheumatoid Arthritis.

What is your opinion in the adoption of Minocin as a drug to stop the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis? And for how long can a patient tolerate this medication..

My girlfriend has been suffering with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life and it just tears me apart to see her in so much pain. She takes medication for it but still never feels great. I feel so useless not being able to help her with the pain, I’ve asked her if I can help but she always says "its fine". Are there any ways I can really help her??

Thanks in advance.
By the way, we’re both fifteen, if it helps at all.

I feel like I have rheumatoid arthritis, but I had a blood test and it was ruled out. I can predict rain with these joints now! In especial pain are the tops of my knees and my thumbs (can’t open jars). Also painful are my ankles, toes and fingers.

My OB referred me to my general practitioner. He told me to take ibuprofen, which is helping, but long term I don’t think it’s a good idea to take a constant regimen of it.

Other thoughts? I feel like someone who has lived a good, long life and I’ve got a way to go yet!

Hi Guys
I am new in USA. my wife has Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and is taking medication prescribed when we were in our home country.
1. my first question is How much is the cost of RA treatment in USA? i mean an estimated monthly cost..

2. and what specific coverages i will have to look for in her case if i go for buying an insurance (considering that RA is a chronic disease and requires taking medicines continuously for several years)
kindly help us out !

I have a moderate case of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and have been on pretty strong medications for it since I was 2 years old. I currently have a 3 1/2 month old and am breast feeding so I can not take any medication. I am in a lot of pain but do not want to sacrifice the breast feeding so I am looking for another option. Example: a special diet or anything???

My Dad is settled in USA, and he suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Can anyone suggest me a job which he can take up, which he can do, without too much of physical work? He is well educated and was a teacher in India, but he is waiting for his certificates to get to USA, to apply for teaching positions. In the mean time, I would like to suggest him a job, which would not take too much of physical troubles, at the same time which does not need much education. He does not mind working for the minimum salary in USA. Please help me.

I know all illegal drugs are bad, but are certain ones known to cause Rheumatoid Arthritis, or any type of bone deterioration, over others? I have used a few in the past, and now at 22, I am suffering from an advanced case of bone damage in my hands. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Please help with real facts, Rather than just "Drugs are bad". I will be picking the best answer. Thanks!
