Every so often, the joints in my foot will start to ache, and it’ll radiate throughout all of the joints up to my hip. It feels like I need to stretch my leg out, but that usually just makes it worse. It’s also very stiff and cracks a lot. It’s never happened in both legs at the same time, and it’s more often in my left. Usually applying pressure with an ace bandage helps, but lately, not so much. It comes completely randomly. I’m an otherwise healthy 17 year old girl. Has anyone ever had a problem like this? Thanks so much for any help! :)

How come whenever i use the leg extension weight machine, i get a small pain in my left knee. Its only at a certain angle, about 80 degrees. This happens even on the lowest weights. My legs are not tired and im not straining, but when i get to that certain angle, i feel that pain in my left knee. What is it from? What can i do about it?

I’ve been playing football all my life and now I begin to feel pain in my right knee cap. I know its an overuse injury but specifically i’m not sure whats causing it. The pain is at its worst if I lay on my back with my legs in the air but bent at the knee, so my knee joint is supporting my lower leg which would be parallel to the floor. Any ideas on if this would be ligaments, tendons, meniscus, synovial fluid, cartilage etc?

Hello all,

On wednesday at school we did some fitness training (ergos, weights…), and we did a station session where we spend 3 minutes at one going 100%, and then to the next one.
On Thursday I was ok however, but then Friday came and my muscles started to ache, aswell as my joints. It is NOT my legs, just my arms…

They are not hurting so much that I can barely pick things up, but still…

Please help, is this bad? sign of an injury?

legs. I take Ibuprofen in the morning and it takes care of the pain for most of the day. I went to the doctor and he moved my legs in a certain way to see if it was arthritis and he said it wasn’t. He told me to take a massive dose of Ibuprofen every day for 10 days to see if this would get rid of it. It went away for a few weeks and it is back again.

the past week and a half or so i’ve been waking up around the early hours of the morning with aching knees and some pain in my legs. It goes away if I change positions, but this has never happened to me before. Im 20, why would I all of a sudden have aching joints and such? What can I do about this…?

I am 21 years old and am always so tired. I sleep in on my 2 days off for 11 hours and get 8 hours of sleep 5 nights a week. I have been having really bad pain in my legs when there is a change in weather, usually when it is humid, cold, and rainy outside. I am so sick of feeling this way and never use to be like this. What’s wrong with me? Thanks for listening.

I am a high school freshman trying cross-country for the first time. Out of all the practices we’ve had so far, my legs and joints always have this sore feeling when I run, even at the beginning, but I don’t know why. I can still run, but that achy feeling makes it difficult. What are some ways to prevent aching joints and have a good, strong run?

My mom has been sick for over the last three days of a rash all over her body, aching joints(shoulder, knees, legs, wrists, etc), and fever. We took her to ER and they did Catscan and tested her for meningitis and all tests came back negative. My mom stated that she went over to her rental property to clean it out of which the renter had a dog she stated they she didn’t notice the rash until a day later. Her legs and knees aches so bad that it is hard for her to walk and the tip of her fingers were somewhat blue??? The doctors have no idea what’s going on so they want to recommend her to a vascular doctor. If anyone are familiar with these symptoms please help!

i have been having some joint pain in my hands, fingers feet/toes, and my knees pop at times, and my legs get some little musle spasm at times some times the pain is worse does this sound like artrhitis, i am only 22 anyone have this

I’ve recently begun doing the P90x, and my knees have been pretty sore after the Plyometric workouts. I worked out my legs prior to P90x and I used to run, but never had an issue with knee pain before. Is that common for people who have never done Plyometrics before? Would icing it and some form of anti-inflamatory be the best solution here?

I have been running high school track (sprints, not distance) for a week and a half now. My legs were sore the first week, but in the last two days I’ve developed pain in my knees. It hurts when I walk downstairs and almost feels like it’s behind my knees. This pain is so intense that I can barely run. We have a meet tomorrow and I know I won’t be healed by then, but what can I do to minimize it and eventually heal the pain?

I have a 5 year old 90 lb dog that has arthritis in his back legs. I was wondering what over-the-counter human medicine and dosage I can give him for the pain. I am not able to take him to the vet at this time. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

From running so much I have the worst shin splints, and pretty bad pain in my left knee, and so-so pain in my right knee. Some days my legs just throb all day, but some days they only hurt when I use them. The other day, they were killing. My mom said maybe we should go to the doctor to get it checked out.

What would the doctors do? X-rays? Refer me to physical therapy?

I began having deep joint pain in my left hip causing my entire leg to ache, on Wedensday the 17th. The following day the pain did not occur untill the evening. Friday the pain was in both hips. The pain has continued in my left hip, however, both legs ache. I am 34 and have not changed my physical activity. I bruise easily and have been bruising frequently. Could this pain be an indicator of something serious and if so, what could it be.

Whenever I have a partner help me with the v-stretch, such as helping me open up my legs wider, I get this strong pain on the inside of my left knee. Now, I make sure I don’t overstretch. If I open up my legs as wide as I can without any help, I feel no pain. I’ve also tried using one of those leg stretching machines, but I still get the pain in my knee. The pain only seems to occur when I’m being assisted. What could this possibly be?

I have been doing bikram yoga for a little over a week now and just today i found that all of the locking of the legs has made my knee caps a little sore, with a sharp, but bearable pain in my left knee cap. what essential oil, or blend is best for massaging on the knee cap area?

Okay – so.. typically when I ride it’s during a lesson, show, or clinic and I’m in the saddle for an hour at the very least. Lupus runs in my family and I’ve already got symptoms of it + rheumatoid arthritis. After riding for an extended period of time, I start to have knee pain – mostly in my right knee. I’ve tried jointed stirrups and ironically they caused MORE pain than they relieved. I’ve thought about trying the Bow Balance stirrups but I’m afraid it’ll be the same thing. I have "conformational issues," as my trainer likes to put it, because I’ve got a 33" inseam but I’m only 5′4". This makes it hard for me to fit really nicely in a saddle without my leg looking too long (even if my stirrups are at the right level).
I know I have a problem of turning my toes out when I jump, so could this be part of the reason for my knee pain? Could it be the fact that my legs are so long? Does anyone else have this same problem and if so – what have you done that has actually worked?
I’ve had blood tests done every year for the Lupus. With the test – they’re looking for I think three specific things.. if you only have two out of the three, they still name your results as "negative." My Dr. has said, "It’s just a matter of time before the test comes back positive" – I don’t really know how to interpret that.. I’m assuming that one of the things they look for is possibly age related. Who knows.. and Yes, I’ve tried ace bandages, I’ve tried a knee brace – it doesn’t help. Ibuprofin sometimes works but I’m not a huge fan over taking stuff. My massage therapist has recommend Arnica – which I’ve yet to find – but otherwise I’m not on any medications other than the occasional Flexiril after a horseshow (which is when it’s the worst).

I have a lab that has some joint pain in his legs from time to time? i have seen some things online and on t.v. but I don’t know what actually works. I don’t have much money to waste on products that don’t work. :)

I have severe pain in my lower back which travels into my legs .
I have taken MRI’s which showed i do have arthritis . The doctors keep telling me that it is becuase of the arthritis that i have this pain in my legs. Could it be something else?.. and What can i do to eleviate the pain?
I have been taking Pain meds . I have taken everything and nothing really helps except of course Vicodens but they are addicting and i took them so long that even those are not helping so i stopped .. that was another problem and another story! ..but i have had 2 ,3series shots of epidurals ..i havebeen to physical therapy which is nioce but the pain returns as soon as i leave the office .. I am now searching for a good chiropractor ..

Since I have been phisically active (sports), my joints hurt so much, especially the one from my legs and hands. I don’t wanna go to the doctor yet, but I would like to hear some suggestions of what natural treatments I should take of over-the-counter medecines. Or at least how should I prevent these joint pain? Thank you!

My dad has this type of arthritis and his legs always hurt really bad. He is only 54 years old and he can barely walk around. What are some things that he can try to ease the pain so that he can get around better. He is still kind of young.

My mom has really bad arthritis in her legs and is making her life miserable. Does anyone know of any kind of medication, natural remedies or exercises that could help?
