My pain gets better at times but I will wake up in the middle of the night and have really bad pain in my knees, wrists, shoulders, and ankles. Is this normal? Why does it happen? Anything I can do to make it better? Thanks!

Hi! I had a really bad case of tonsillitis/cold that lasted a fortnight. just when its getting better i have now come down with weak joints that are so painful when i try to move or get up. pain is only really bad when i put my weight on them (eg- knees when i get out of a chair). it is so bad though i have to psych myself up to move! no headache or fever, so its not the flu. any ideas would be appreciated.

I’m 26 years old and haven’t lifted heavy for 3 years. I started lifting when I was 14 and at 20 began to do more cardio and lighter weights (reps of 12 to 14). between 20 and 23 I shuffled around from light to heavy with cardio. 23 to 26 I did more cardio and liftid light. Now it’s been 2 months since I started lifting heavy (8 to 10 reps) split routine and my joints have been aching. Sometimes it’s my elbows then my knees. Sometimes my lower and mid back start hurting and feel heavy at times. I feel like I’m too young to experience this but I have been lifting weights for a while and also worked alot of physically demanding jobs. I do sleep my 8 hours a night, take my supplements, and eat properly. Am I doing something wrong?

I have had pain in one of my knees after doing a squatting exercise a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure if it’s strained or what, but I’ve kind of let it be, which isn’t the smartest thing to do, I know. Recently the tendonitis in my ankle has flared up and now there are two areas of the same leg that are killing me so I’m trying to find a remedy for my knee. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Well, not breaking down, but they hurt all the flippin’ time
my knees kill me in the cold, when i run and every time i bend them
i get shin splints every time i go running
my ankle also hurts when i go running
and my shoulders back and ribs hurt all the time because i work at safeway

Im only 15, and i don’t get much calcium (i can’t stand milk)

I have had pain in my knees since I was a little kid. The pain is similar to headaches. The pain always happened at random times. I still have the problem, but mostly around "that time" of the month. I was never active as a child, or now. And I consider myself to be of average weight, if that helps.

im 12 years old and im 5 foot 8 inches EXACTLY!!!im a swimmer an we have to run every day before practice. my knees hurt when i run AND they hurt when i swim. it feels like there are bunch of needles are poking in my knee. do i have arthritis?

I’ve been having a lot of pain in my knees & my dad says it’s joint pain . It’s pretty painful & I don’t know if I can make it go away
Any ideas ? Thanks (;

I’m 14 years old, and whenever I do squats,or any other anything else that involves the joints, it starts hurting. What can I do now about, is there some natural remedies for this?
P.S. I used to dance, and I had to fall to my knees as part of the dance. Could this be the reason?

Should I see a physical therapist or my general doc? I have pain in my knees. If I take an Aleve, the pain goes away for a while but later returns.

For the past 5-6 weeks my joints have been very achey (fingers/hands, wrists, shoulders, upper vertebrae, tailbone area, knees, & ankles). Pretty much, everything hurts and I am feeling kind of fatigued, but have also been working a lot. IThe pain is not such excrutiating pain (probably about a 5-6 on a scale of 1-10 depending upon the day), but more off a dull pain or extreme discomfort. I often feel stiff, expecially after waking up or sitting for extended periods and having trouble getting comfortable. After sitting for extended periods it is hard for me to straighten my body right away. It seems to vary in intensity, but a lot of times my hands hurt most. I am a 26 year old slightly overweight (about 15-20 lbs) female who has never had any severe medical problems. Do you think that this is something that I should go to the doctor for, or are there any otc remedies that you know of? Have you ever experienced anything of the sort. Is there a "diagnosis?"

I’m an 18 year old runner and my knees have been hurting over the last two weeks. I have started taking glucosumine, but I was wandering if there is anything else that would possibly work faster in making my knees feel better?

I have been having severe joint pain for a few weeks now that seems to affect different joints on different days. it affects my elbow, hips, knees, and ankles, i have no other symptoms accept for fatigue. i have seen my family doctor and awaiting test results any ideas what this could be?

My mom has arthritis in her knees. It is to the point where she gets surgery every few years to have it scraped out. I was wondering, if your mom has arthritis, are the chances any higher that you will also have arthritis? Also what can you do to prevent getting arthritis? Thank you.

No history of injury to any of these joints. The pain is in both ankles and knees. X-rays reveal nothing wrong structurally.
Have pretty good running shoes as well as a brand new pair of Puma spikes for the 100, 200 and 400. I’m sort of doubting the shoes thing, BUT flip-flops are worn that majority of the time.

i thought i heard something about that once on the news (it seems that whenever it’s going to be really cold or if there is a bad storm even if i’m inside all day i get really bad joint pain in my figures, wrists, and knees) does anyone know anything about it?

The middle of my back. neck, shoulders, hips, knees and hands are really sore. Im in alot of pain starting with trying to get out of bed in the morning never mind lifting my boy out of his cot. Imm hobbling around like an old woman and its really getting me down. I was wondering if anyone else suffered like this or has any advice.

Can I take 100mg of ibuprofen everyday for a few months or so to help my knee pain. X-rays showed early signs of arthritis int he knees.

I enjoy running. When I run every other day, my knees ache. I understand this is most likely runners knee, but are there any herbs or extracts that may help soothe the pain?

I have joint pain in my knees hips and ankles. My knees have an old injury, my hips are uneven and I have always had weak ankles. I am about 35-40 lbs overweight right now after having my second baby, and I am trying to lose it, but the pain makes it hard to workout. So, is there a supplement or something that might help me?

I do a lot of exercise every day, and I’ve noticed lately that I’m not able to do as much as usual due to pain in my knees and ankles mostly. I know its not from lack of stretching, as its not a muscular pain but more the actual joints. By the way, I’m only 22. I really need to keep up my fitness routine, so any advice would be great.
Oh and the type of exercise I’m doing is mostly cardio, but also some weights as well

i run for a few minutes everyday (im working up slowly to 5k!) ….but today when I woke up my knees and ankles hurt really bad! I cant run at all today! what should I do? is that really bad? should I run tomorrow if it feals better?

I’ve recently been suffering from pain in my knees, wrists, and ankles. They hurt worse after cheerleading and they sometimes hurt so much i cry.

I have heel pain too, but I was diagnosed with sever’s disease. So it may not be related.

Any Ideas what’s wrong?
I have cheer practice 4 days a week so I’m in shape.
Also is there anything I can do to prevent damage and stregnthen my joints.
Should I wrap my wrists or wear a brace? I had a stress fracture in my wrist last year from tumbling.

what’s going on? My knees get very red and hot to touch out of nowhere there’s no pain accompanied by this other than me knowing my knees are hot b/c i can feel the heat.. anyway this is the only place i get it at. it happens out of nowhere and im not doing anything strenuous.. what could it be?? someone said gout but i’m a female and its not in my big toe.. any help please!!! what would have caused this im only 22.

I’m 16 and sadly, I’ve been cracking my fingers for about 5 years. I’ve tried to stop many times but it feels extremely uncomfortable if I avoid cracking them when I feel like I need to.

Lately when I’m on the computer, I get a dull pain in my fingers, through the side of my wrist and sometimes up to my elbow. I spend alot of time on the computer, I do all my school work on here and I plan on getting a career in it so controlling the pain is crucial.
I haven’t been to the doctor for it yet but I’d just like peoples opinions first, does anyone think this could be arthritis?

My dad has arthritis in his fingers and knees (I get a pain he’s to me in my knees on rare odescribed ccasion) but he’s never needed to crack his fingers as much as I do.
