I’m 32 weeks and I have developed pain in my fingers and hips that has become almost excruciating at night. I’m only 25, surely I’m not getting arthritis! Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain?
I had my baby 6 weeks ago and ever since I gave birth I wake up with really bad joint pain in my fingers. Also my hands are always asleep! I’ve heard of carpal tunnel while being pregnant which I didn’t have but not after…??
Can someone please tell me if this is a problem, or if I am being a hypochondriac?
For 4 years, I have been getting joint pain in my fingers, wrists, and elbows, which I can not explain.
I did not tell my doctor, but I just got some unrelated blood tests back, and my white blood cell count was flagged because it was elevated. I don’t know if it’s very high, though………it said that my monocytes were at 17, and that the normal range was 4-13.
I thought nothing of that, but then yesterday another doctor told me my lymph nodes were swollen.
If it matters, I also have double joints all over my body. I am only 28, but I am starting to worry that I’ve developed arthritis. Am I being crazy?
My daughter is pregnant (1-2 months). She suffers from arthritis and since a few days ago has had swelling fingers in feet and hands. Normally she takes Celebrex, but now she cannot take it. Ginger and Tylenol with codeine have been recommended. What else she can do?
I can remember these pains starting from my early teens.
I don’t think it’s due to my use of the joints because the problem is the same as my activity level changes.
Every now and then, (especially when i’m sitting on the floor or a bed) when I move my leg I feel like my joint is about to pop out (pain is usually on the inside of hip)
There is a sudden pain and it’s very intense (i usually shout out loud and stop moving)
I’m wondering if it’s the normal feeling that people get just before a joint cracks? When I get those feelings in my fingers I can’t stand it and won’t let the joint crack because I find it painful (and gross)
This is pretty different but I wonder if i’m over-reacting to this hip joint pain or if there is some condition which would make the bones slide out of place? I’m also wondering if I continued moving would something bad happen? It feels incredibly sore, I don’t think I could continue moving when it happened. It really does feel like it’s about to disloc
I am in good shape and good health, but in my family arthritis and the likes are genetically present. As the years pass I feel more and more soreness and pain, mostly in my fingers, but lately my shoulder started to hurt. I am not taking any specific medicine and try to work out 5 times a week, some leight weight lifting and also some cardio. I am not overweight and try to eat reasonably.
A friend of mine suggested taking Glucosamine tablets to help reduce pain and prevent further problems.
Any suggestions? Personal experience?
Thxs a lot in advance.
when i run, my ankle always twists and my knee clicks. then i get a sharp pain in my knee and ifind it hard to move. sometimes my hip clicks and a get the same thing, it happens about once or twice a day and it aches until i sit down for a while. my fingers also crack and i find it difficult to stretch out my fingers without them aching a lot.
does anyone know what this could be? :/
I have a bad habit of popping my fingers, and I do not want to have arthritis. Thanks!
For the past 5-6 weeks my joints have been very achey (fingers/hands, wrists, shoulders, upper vertebrae, tailbone area, knees, & ankles). Pretty much, everything hurts and I am feeling kind of fatigued, but have also been working a lot. IThe pain is not such excrutiating pain (probably about a 5-6 on a scale of 1-10 depending upon the day), but more off a dull pain or extreme discomfort. I often feel stiff, expecially after waking up or sitting for extended periods and having trouble getting comfortable. After sitting for extended periods it is hard for me to straighten my body right away. It seems to vary in intensity, but a lot of times my hands hurt most. I am a 26 year old slightly overweight (about 15-20 lbs) female who has never had any severe medical problems. Do you think that this is something that I should go to the doctor for, or are there any otc remedies that you know of? Have you ever experienced anything of the sort. Is there a "diagnosis?"
Is it normal to have arthritis or your bones hurt at the age of 25? Some of my joints have been really hurting ….such as my fingers. They really hurt in the cold or when for instance the next day after building a dog house….I also wake in the morning sometimes and they just hurt from my hand being in one state for so long….is this normal for a 25 year old?
I kept on popping my fingers, knees, and toes and now I’ve got arthritis and I’m wondering if a chiropractor could make them straight?
I’m 16 and sadly, I’ve been cracking my fingers for about 5 years. I’ve tried to stop many times but it feels extremely uncomfortable if I avoid cracking them when I feel like I need to.
Lately when I’m on the computer, I get a dull pain in my fingers, through the side of my wrist and sometimes up to my elbow. I spend alot of time on the computer, I do all my school work on here and I plan on getting a career in it so controlling the pain is crucial.
I haven’t been to the doctor for it yet but I’d just like peoples opinions first, does anyone think this could be arthritis?
My dad has arthritis in his fingers and knees (I get a pain he’s to me in my knees on rare odescribed ccasion) but he’s never needed to crack his fingers as much as I do.
my fingers feel a little a sore when i bend them.

My mom has been sick for over the last three days of a rash all over her body, aching joints(shoulder, knees, legs, wrists, etc), and fever. We took her to ER and they did Catscan and tested her for meningitis and all tests came back negative. My mom stated that she went over to her rental property to clean it out of which the renter had a dog she stated they she didn’t notice the rash until a day later. Her legs and knees aches so bad that it is hard for her to walk and the tip of her fingers were somewhat blue??? The doctors have no idea what’s going on so they want to recommend her to a vascular doctor. If anyone are familiar with these symptoms please help!
how can i relieve joint pain in my fingers?
i have been having some joint pain in my hands, fingers feet/toes, and my knees pop at times, and my legs get some little musle spasm at times some times the pain is worse does this sound like artrhitis, i am only 22 anyone have this
I’ve heard that rheumatoid arthritis almost always starts in the fingers and causing visible swelling and redness. In terms of fingers, is it possible for a person with RA to just have stiffness and pain in the fingers with little to no swelling? Also, how often do people with Juvenile RA recover?
I feel like I have rheumatoid arthritis, but I had a blood test and it was ruled out. I can predict rain with these joints now! In especial pain are the tops of my knees and my thumbs (can’t open jars). Also painful are my ankles, toes and fingers.
My OB referred me to my general practitioner. He told me to take ibuprofen, which is helping, but long term I don’t think it’s a good idea to take a constant regimen of it.
Other thoughts? I feel like someone who has lived a good, long life and I’ve got a way to go yet!
Does anyone know any causes for badly aching and stiff joints other than arthritis? I’ve been suffering with them for years in my knees, hips, back and fingers but the test came back negative. I really need to get this sorted soon as it’s causing me to take unhealthy amounts of painkillers just to get through the day, let alone do anything I need to like shopping or even going out full stop.
Ibuprofen and Paracetamol are barely taking the edge off and Glucosamine doesn’t do a thing.
If it helps, I’m 24.
At what age do people normally begin developing arthritis? I ask this because lately I’ve been getting these odd pains in my fingers and wrist on my right hand. I’m only 15 but I love to crack my bones alot such as my neck, knuckles, wrists, etc. Could I have arthritis???
It is almost impossible for me to get thru a 3 hour workday now. I get so exhausted, my heart pounds, my chest is constricted, I’m overheated. My muscles are weak; my joints in my fingers hurt all day, everyday. I get headaches after work, and feel exhausted.
This started during a stressy time at work, and won’t go away. Doctor took a chest xray, thinking it was a pnuemonia reaccurance, but it was clear.
What could it be? I feel dizzy and dumb.
I have been taking Arimidex for a year now and have a lot of pain in my hands. The knuckles in my fingers are developing bumps and are very painful. I am curious about any side effects you have noticed from this drug. If you have had these symptoms, does the pain and swelling of joints go away when you stop taking the drug or is it permanent damage? I’m also curious if you have stopped taking this drug and replaced it with something better? I took Tamoxifin for 2 years and 1 year of Arimidex. HELP!!!
Last night right before bed, I noticed that I could not bend my index and middle finger, and there was pain in my fingers’ joints when I tried to bend them. My fingers were so stiff that I could barely put on my pajamas or pull up the covers. The onset was *very* quick and painful. It’s gotten a little better this morning, but my fingers are still stiff and somewhat sore, although to a much lesser degree. I did not hurt myself in any way prior to this happening.
Never had this happen before. Any ideas?
First of all, I’m a WOMAN. Second of all, it is my left-hand, which I use much, much less than my right-hand. The timing just happened to be right before bed…not BECAUSE I was getting in the bed.
Come on, serious answers only, please.
I am pretty active and go to the gym 3-5 times a week. Only on the computer for no more than 20 minutes a day. The joints in my fingers ache when I work with my hands like drawing, writing, or doing other peoples hair. I’m thinking about going to get it checked out because it may be serious.
Im 16, female. I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in my hands/fingers. Until my medication arrives, is there any helpful tips I can use to ease the pain? Its really sharp and sometimes I can’t even hold objects. Anything like heat, or massage tips I can do myself during school? Please nothing that involves medicine, since I have some one the way, thanks a million!
