I’m 20, and have been diagnosed with scoliosis and also degenerative arthritis (either rheumatoid or osteo – still have to do blood work to find out). Being as young as I am, what can I expect the future to hold for me concerning these problems?

Also, my spine apparently curves the opposite way in which it would normally go in most people (I think to the left maybe? I’m not sure, just the other way than normal).

I lift at least 315 lbs. every time I workout on flat bench, either on the last set or next to the last set, and my elbows kill me sometimes. They especially ache when I have them locked in one position too long like when I’ve been sleeping and I wake up in the middle of the night and I’ve lifted the night before. Could it be a tear, a strain, arthritis, or what?

my mom has had rheumatoid arthritis for about 9 years now, and she had a knee replacement about 6 years ago… lately her arthritis has been causing her a lot of pain that she loses sleep over… medications that her doc gives her do not help. Are there any natural remedies or vitamins she can take to help ease the pain?

I can’t really run because of my arthritis so running is out of the question. It needs to be something that is low impact on my joints but can help me loose weight. I want to loose 30 pounds before the beginning of high school on september 7th. Thanks for the help!

I’ve noticed recently, that the horse i’m working with seems to always be stiff when i ride, or just when he’s walking around. His owner takes him out 2-3 times a year and runs him around for hours at a time, and his owner is definatly not on the light side…I often am stuck caring for sore backs once his owner is done.
But, i was wondering, that my horse has really short strides, and long legs. I’m not sure if he’s got arthritis, or just joint problems. But i was wondering if maybe i should put him on joint supplements for a month, see how that goes, and if it helps, should i continue it? I tried stretching him out before and after riding for a while, and it didn’t seem to help. Anyone have any suggestions?
Extra details are. The horse is turned out from 8am-4pm. And stalled from teh time in between. Hes only about 9, which is really why i’m concerned about this stiffness with him. I’m starting him on jumping, so i just want the best for him, and want to be able to have him preform to his fullest without having anything holding him back. He’s a great horse, with loads of potential.
I’ve also noticed that when i lead him from the stall to the tackroom his head is a bit down, his strides are short, and he just seems to walk slow and stiff. Even when i don’t ride him for a week, he’s the same.

I’m 13 and yes, I have arthritis, but my hands were hurting because I’ve been cornroling (braiding) a lot of hair today so I took some pills. I wasn’t paying attention until now and now it’s getting hard for me to swallow water and soda. What should I do?

Me and my dad are just alike and neither one of us has ever had any medical problems. My dad does have really bad arthritis though now that he’s in his 50’s. Almost to the point where it’s crippling. I just turned 25. What are some things I could start doing to prevent getting this condition as well?

Is it good to give my dog Triple Flex for arthritis? And does it have aspirin in it? And what are the side effects if given to dog?

I’m 32 weeks and I have developed pain in my fingers and hips that has become almost excruciating at night. I’m only 25, surely I’m not getting arthritis! Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain?

My mother who is 57 got chickungunya a year back and is still suffering from severe joint pain and swelling, arthritis due to chickengunya. Anybody who has gone through the same , please advise on what treatment would help? Does taking long periods of rest help?

Some Arthritis sufferers are said to be able to "feel" rain is on the way, or feel more acute symptoms even though they may be indoors during rainy or colder weather.

Why?

Any hard evidence?

Any web links?

Thanks!

Our dog is almost 8 years old and we think he has Arthritis. We are going to a vet soon, but we wanted to know how much it is going to cost. Also, would he have to take it the rest of his life?

Any other information would be helpful!

Thank you!

One doctor diagnosed pain in that area and wrote a prescription for Calebrex. One person said tomotoes contribute to arthritis and another said the lipotene in tomatoes help. to ease the condition. What are your comments?

I found out there is a place down the street that does water classes for people with arthritis and I was curious if anyone found them to beneficial if they had mild to moderate arthritis. Thanks!

I used to run 5ks in my teens & 20’s but my body hurts a lot these days (I’m 33). I have a friend with 3 kids who just ran her first 10k. She ran the whole thing without walking. I’m jealous! And I miss that RUSH that comes from running. Could I still do it even though I’ve got arthritis?

She limps a lot because of her arthritis and sometimes i even rub her shoulders…its not like im pampering her its just that i want her to be able to climb our stairs. haha. So does anyone know any good dog foods for arthritis?…for dogs
English Springer Spaniel Type: Showdog NOT field dog

I’ve got some arthritis in my ankles, my ankle gets swollen sometimes and the podiatrist said it’s from instability.. I’m trying to figure out what kind of shoe or sandal do I need in order to accommodate this problem?
I’m guessing nothing that "wobbles" but what else should I look for?

and i have a few more questions how do you prevent rheumatoid arthritis and if you anyone knows any websites where i can find out these answers it would be really helpful. because i need to do a project on this and this is all i need. oh and what is the life expectancy if someone has r.a.

Can someone please tell me if this is a problem, or if I am being a hypochondriac?

For 4 years, I have been getting joint pain in my fingers, wrists, and elbows, which I can not explain.

I did not tell my doctor, but I just got some unrelated blood tests back, and my white blood cell count was flagged because it was elevated. I don’t know if it’s very high, though………it said that my monocytes were at 17, and that the normal range was 4-13.

I thought nothing of that, but then yesterday another doctor told me my lymph nodes were swollen.

If it matters, I also have double joints all over my body. I am only 28, but I am starting to worry that I’ve developed arthritis. Am I being crazy?

I have arthritis in both my hands. I live on asprin and it takes most of the pain away but my hands still feel swollen and stiff. Is there any over the counter meds or treatment that works better than asprin. I hate Ibuprophin!
I am an artist by trade so I really need my hands. Please help

I have a friend that has RA. She needs her medications, but the doctor she use to go to will not give her a prescription for it. She really needs HELP! Is there an organization for people that have rheumatoid arthritis?
She is on Medicare and Medicaid and totally disabled, with a fixed income.

My daughter is pregnant (1-2 months). She suffers from arthritis and since a few days ago has had swelling fingers in feet and hands. Normally she takes Celebrex, but now she cannot take it. Ginger and Tylenol with codeine have been recommended. What else she can do?

I suspect I may have arthritis in my right thumb — all of a sudden it’s steadily painful, but I am only guessing (I have not yet consulted my doctor). I wonder if using one of those hand exercisers would be a helpful thing to do, or would it just make matters worse? I’m talking about those items you grip and then squeeze together.
