After a week of scuba diving in the Bahamas, my friend boards an airplane back to school. During his flight home, he developes aching joints, nausea, and dyspnea, which resolve upon landing. During the flight, the cabin pressure was equivalent to an altitude of 800 feet. Why did he have these problems?
Explain his problems.
There’s a typo. The cabin pressure was equivalent to an altitude of 8000 feet. Not 800.

My aunt’s pharmicist recommended her some japanese garlic tablets used to treat the pain of arthritis but she lives in texas and the doctor says that the only pills available are here in california. It specifically has to be japanese and I don’t have a clue where to find them. I live in oc California but I dont have a clue where to find them. I already tried GNC but the pills aren’t there. If anyone could please help, it would mean alot to me. Thank you all.

I have been exercising at the gym for a week now and everyday I have joint pain and general body pain. I have had to take Liquid Advil but don’t want to make it a habit. Is there something I can add to my diet, certain foods, etc that will help me work my way out of the pain?

I bought a Viking cue (VM18) about 7 years ago. I special ordered a double threaded stainless steel joint. Now it is giving me a little bit of resistence when I screw it together.

Is there anything I can do to give me a smoother connection without ruining the joint? Graphite? Oil? Thanks a bunch.

I know I’m only 17 years old and arthritis is very uncommon for someone my age but I’ve noticed that my knee has been getting really stiff recently and it’s been raining a lot. It’s also been hurting but I haven’t done anything to really make it hurt. Am I making this up or could it really be arthritis?

I am a 54 year old male. Every day I have what I can only describe as traveling joint pain. It can be from mild to severe. An example would be two days ago, I had pain in my right hip, so bad that I had trouble putting weight on my leg. Yesterday the pain was gone. Today, I have pain in both of my wrists. The discomfort usually last a day in each joint and sometimes travels from one joint to its complimentry joint. A short time ago, I had pain in my left shoulder and muscle spasms up the left side of my neck. Two days later the pain was in my right shoulder. I am also tired most of the time. I tried walking a mile or 2 each day but it has been painful. I have had a number of sports injuries in the areas where I get most of the pain.

I wanted to work out and exercise this summer to get in shape for tennis and lose a few lbs, however i just got runner’s knee, which gives me mild knee pain on the left knee. Is there any cardio exercises i can still do effectively while not overusing the knee?

I have rheumatoid arthritis and have been considering trying medical marijuana to help with the pain.

I’m only 20 years old, and I have frequent joint pain, mostly my knees and hips, and I very rarely drink milk or eat dairy, and I was wondering if this lack of calcium could be the reason my knees hurt. . .

I am a 25 year-old ballerina in a university dance program. I dance about 9 hours/wk and I was wondering if it is too early for me to start taking joint -care supplements. I know that dancers are highly prone to bone, muscle, and joint damage, and I would like to prevent that kind of damage to my own body.
I go to the university’s rec center 3-4x a week during the summer and 2-3x during school for 90min-2hours to work on my muscles (to be long and strong).

I do have arthritis but not sure if it is that severe. I feel like I have it but seems these days doctors don’t believe people anymore. And also what about fibromilagia? I am sure I have it but how can I convince my doctor?
I am 37 years old.

My husband is 45 and has shoulder joint pain when he bench presses 200 lbs or more.

I am thinking about buying him some Glucosamine and Chondroitin. However, I am not sure if it really works.

Do any of you know facts about this product?

I recently injured my knee at work after either lifting or pulling pallets. I feel a slight strain to no pain while up and walking around during the day, but while i’m lying down for long periods of time (e.g. sleeping) I can wake up and my knee is in imense pain, that I sometimes need to jump up out of bed to make go away. It is on the right side of my left knee. There is no sign of bruising, and very slight swelling. Any ideas?

I would like to know #1 what causes arthritis and #2 is it something that just shows up after a bad auto accident?
Thanks.

for about two weeks now and it seems like my joints are poping more than ever. Is this normal? I couldnt seem to find anything about it on the net.

I can barely walk because of knee joint pain in my left leg; will putting a lemon on it help?

I’ve tried Iboprofin, celebrex, tylenol, etc. Most of this stuff is hard on stomach. Painfull to walk and excersize. Tired of living in pain. Any success with anything out there?

My ex-husband & I have joint custody, although my son lives w/me, he only goes with his dad twice a wk. I do not receive child support, but my ex pays for our son’s school (pre-K).

Now, when filing our taxes, may I be able to claim our son as my dependant, and then have my ex file for the child care expenses?

For at least a year now, I have been getting this nagging, fatigue, burning feeling from my left hip joint. Sometimes for comfort and temporary relief, I try to stretch it out and pop it. But the pain comes after standing for a long time. I’m not an athelete, but I jog on a treadmill on occassions.

I ask this because I am obese myself and have frequent pain in my right knee. Someone told me that it could be gout, but I thought that usually occured in the joints of toes and fingers. I am 21, 6′1", and 330 pounds.

I believe i understand about Arthritis, but any help would be appreciated.
